Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure all fillets are coated and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the marinated salmon fillets on the sheet without overcrowding. Bake for about 12–15 minutes or until flaky.
  5. Serve: Drizzle with remaining marinade if desired and garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
