  • 1 lb frozen gyoza dumplings (vegan)
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 5 scallions
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium Tamari
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Steam dumplings according to package instructions. Transfer to a large bowl and add sesame oil to prevent sticking.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup. Pour over dumplings and toss gently.
  3. Chop heirloom tomatoes and cucumber; slice scallions. Add to the dumpling bowl along with optional chili pepper if desired.
  4. Garnish with torn basil leaves and toasted sesame seeds or crispy fried onions. Serve at room temperature.
