Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and melted butter.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with dry ingredients; stir gently until just mixed.
  5. Fill each muffin cup two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. For the topping, combine sugar and cinnamon in one bowl; melt remaining butter in another.
