  • 1 cup granulated sugar (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar topping over it. Add the remaining batter and finish with the rest of the topping.
  6. Use a knife to swirl through gently for marbling.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
