  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 11/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 large apple, peeled, cored, and chopped into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. Cream softened butter with granulated sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, combine chopped apples with light brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Layer half the batter in the pan, add half the apple mixture, swirl gently, then top with remaining batter and apples.
