  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • 5 carrots (chopped)
  • 5 celery stalks (chopped)
  • 10 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • Salt and poultry seasoning to taste
  • 34 cups cubed day-old bread

  2. In a large baking dish, combine chopped onion, carrots, celery, wild rice, and chicken broth. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, melt 4 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour, salt, and poultry seasoning; cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk to create a smooth sauce.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, remove the foil and add raw chicken pieces along with the creamy sauce; stir to combine.
